QSL Backup
A private Quantum Shield Labs integration used to place encrypted infrastructure backups into Google Drive.
Purpose: QSL Backup is not a public consumer application. It is operated by Quantum Shield Labs LLC for authorized internal infrastructure backup and disaster-recovery workflows.
How the integration works
- Infrastructure data selected for backup is packaged by our backup tooling.
- Backup contents are encrypted before they are uploaded to Google Drive.
- The Google Drive connection is used to create and manage the backup objects required by this workflow.
- The OAuth client is configured for the limited Google Drive
drive.filepermission rather than broad access to unrelated Drive content.
Google account access
QSL Backup requests authorization only for the Google account intentionally connected to the backup workflow. The integration is designed to access files it creates or that are explicitly made available to it through the granted scope.
Security model
Google Drive is used as an off-provider storage destination. Encryption of backup contents occurs before upload, and the repository password/key material is managed separately from the stored backup objects.
Operator control
The authorized account owner can revoke the application's Google access at any time from Google Account security settings. Revocation stops future access until authorization is granted again.
Policies
Use of this integration is governed by our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
